He described being completely erased from normal consciousness and
transported into a vegetable kingdom where sinister mantis-like beings (who
he felt had malign intent) were trying to do something to him (he said that
as best he could interpret their intent it seemed as though they were
trying to 'abduct' him). He was deeply concerned that he would be unable to
return, in fact he said that he could not even understand what it was he
was trying to return to. He could not remember the normal contents of
consciousness at all. Eventually, he latched onto my name and brought
himself back. He did not know how long he had been gone and had no memories
of what happened physically to him after the second toke.
Now, both of us are very grounded people; he has had psychedelic
experiences which dwarf anything I've heard of in his younger days (he's
32) and has eschewed such things for many years, doing only small mushroom
doses perhaps once a year. He said that this experience completely threw
him for a loop because even on DMT and 8g doses of mushrooms he has never
experienced anything this dramatic. This is seriously unusual because my
roommate is extremely difficult to frighten and generally laughs off the
idea of a drug taking him somewhere he hasn't already been.
And now the question; if anyone on this list has or has contact with
someone who has contacted apparently malign or alien beings such as those
desribed above, please address our question:
Does anyone know or have experience with 'going-with' such an experience or
the beings? My roommate was very concerned that if he 'went along' with
these beings he would be in serious trouble, perhaps unable to return. Has
anyone ever had the presence of will to go with something like this, and if
so, what can you tell us about it?
TRIP: Salvia Divinorum (this is a good one)
Recently we obtained some Salvia (which I had tried before). I had tried it
twice with increasing effects, but I would classify them as subtle. We
tried it together and had a soothing and relaxing experience with minimal
reality distortion. The other night I left him a rolled joint and he
darkened his room around midnight and took a couple of large hits. He said
he felt something unusual happeneing after the second toke. When he took
the third hit he left this reality completely:
